Editor review
Mirror Saga is a pirate-themed open-world adventure. Sail, trade, fight, manage crew. Twelve hours of campaign.
What works is the open-world structure. Many islands to visit in any order; players can focus on trading, combat, or quests.
Twelve hours of campaign with extensive optional content.
Tested over weekend sessions from Newcastle.
Where the design earns its three-and-a-half is the crew-management depth. Each crew member has personality; treating crew well improves morale.
Where I would push back is the combat. Naval combat is simplified compared to the otherwise-thoughtful design.
Three-and-a-half stars. Solid pirate adventure.
