Editor review
Labyrinth Tap is a tap-driven maze where you open doors to create paths. Forty mazes across four themes. The format minimises movement input in favour of strategic door-tapping.
What works is the auto-movement. Once you tap a door, the character walks through automatically. The format becomes about choosing doors rather than executing movement.
Forty mazes with door-count escalating per theme.
Tested over three Newcastle weekend cafe sessions. Touch tap is the natural input. Mouse-click also works.
Where the design earns its rating is the move-count scoring. Optimal solutions use fewer door-taps. Players who plan minimal door sequences score higher.
Where I would push back is the absence of one-way doors as a late-game mechanic. Doors all work both ways; the format would benefit from directional-door variants.
Three-and-a-half stars. Solid maze-tap arcade. Worth playing.
